There is a new Deputy Chief of Police for LaSalle.
William “Chuck” Scanlan has been appointed by the Police Services Board and assumes the role effective September 1st, 2016.
Scanlan began his policing career in 1983 with the Sandwich West Police Service as a Cadet, and promoted to Constable in 1985. In 1991 Sandwich West Police became LaSalle Police Service, and he held the position of Staff Sergeant since 2008 with LaSalle Police Service.
He progressively rose through the ranks of positions through promotions with the LaSalle Police Service from Constable in 1985, promoted to Sergeant in 2001, and promoted to Staff Sergeant in 2008.
He was the top selection during this hiring process and successfully completed the Deputy Chief of Police Selection Interviews.
