The University of Windsor has reached a tentative collective agreement with CUPE Local 1393.
The union represents approximately 263 skilled trades, professional, and technical employees, providing a wide range of services crucial to the university community, from plumbing and carpentry to nursing and therapy, graphic design and public relations.
The deal was reached on June 17th with the help of a provincially-appointed mediator.
The terms of the tentative agreement are confidential pending ratification.
Contract negations with CUPE began just over a month ago on May 18th.
