The Fraser Institute’s annual report card for the 3,037 Public, Catholic, Francophone elementary schools, as well as a small number of private schools in Ontario was released on Sunday.
Each school receives an overall rating out of ten based on the school’s academic performance based on nine academic indicators derived from the results of province-wide tests of reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
According to the report findings An-Noor Private School ranked top for the Windsor and Essex County area coming in with a score of 9.6 and ranking 27th in Ontario.
The top Catholic school was LaSalle’s Holy Cross which scored 8 out of 10 and was 310th in the province.
At the Public School Board, Bellewood scored the highest with 9 out of 10 and was 74th in the province.
The top Francophone elementary was Sainte-Therese which scored 8.0 out of 10 and also came in 310th in the province.
