A major computer systems outage at US Customs caused long waits for US-bound traffic on Tuesday.
Trucks had been backed up along Huron Church and Highway 3 since just after midnight, Tuesday morning.
Trucks also used Wyandotte Street West and traffic was backed up to Crawford at one point.
Border wait times for standard and FAST commercial vehicles were around 150 minutes, or nearly 2.5 hours.
There was no customs delay for passenger vehicles except for congestion on the bridge itself.
The backups started to clear around midnight.
