John Morris Russell Returning For Three Windsor Performances

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra’s Conductor Laureate, John Morris Russell, returns to the city this weekend to lead the orchestra in three performances.
The concerts, titled Haydn & Friends, feature Handel’s Concerto Grosso, Holzbauer’s Sinfonia in D, Haydn’s Symphony no. 44, and Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto in B flat major with Eric Varner on Bassoon.
Performances will take place at the Capitol Theatre on Friday at 11am and 7:30pm with an encore performance at Leamington United Mennonite Church on Saturday at 7:30pm.
There is a pre-concert talk one hour prior to all three performances in which Maestro Russell and Eric Varner will discuss the composers and the music on the program.
Tickets are $35 for Friday morning, $40 for Friday evening, and $35 for Saturday evening. Senior and student discounts available.
