Rain, melting snow and frozen ground have prompted a flood watch to be issued for Windsor-Essex.
The Essex Region Conservation Authority says the watch is a result of a snow pack that is holding a high water equivalency and predicted rainfall.
ERCA says a possibility of flooding exists throughout the Essex region in low-lying areas and in areas of poor drainage. The possibility of isolated heavy downpours may result in localized flooding. The areas most likely to be affected are those areas where drainage facilities are impacted by snow drifting and/or ice.
