The City of Windsor is looking to install an eastbound turning lane on Tecumseh Road East at Windsor Avenue.
Currently left turns are not permitted from Tecumseh to Windsor Avenue daily between 3pm and 6pm, but with construction of a new plaza on the site of the old Elias Markets, including a new Goodwill retail location, a study shows that there will be an increase demand for left turns.
The city is recommending to the Environment, Transportation & Public Safety Standing Committee that the street parking currently in this area be removed, and the lines re painted with the addition of the turning lane.
The cost for the changes is estimated to be $3,500.
