UWindsor ‘Thirsty Scholar’ Pub to Become New Bookstore

The Thirsty Scholar Pub at the University of Windsor will not reopen in September and the University of Windsor Bookstore will have a new home.
In a deal signed Monday between the University of Windsor and the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance, the space that is now the Pub will become the new home of the University Bookstore along with a student café.
The Thirsty Scholar Pub’s future had been in question since it was the scene of a violent stabbing back in March. The Pub reopened after the stabbing as a restaurant only and began closing at 9pm. All alcohol-related pub-type activities were suspended.
The Current location of the University of Windsor Bookstore is set to become classroom and lecture space for the Odette School of Business.
