The first major signs of construction are showing at the site of the future Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Complex on the Western Super Anchor lands.
This week, construction crews began excavating for the portion of the building that will house the atrium, change rooms, offices and basement mechanical areas. Crews also continued to move a line of sewers from their previous Chatham Street location to just behind a few University Avenue businesses — and Church street is once again open to traffic.
windsoriteDOTca is keeping an eye on Aquatic Centre Construction with weekly updates that will eventually form a time lapse. Construction of the aquatic facility is planned to progress in time for the International Children’s Games in August 2013.
