The much anticipated Lebanese fusion restaurant, Sarai, is now open to the public.

With modern decor and distinctive flavours derived from around Middle Eastern countries, Sarai has managed to combine a zest from far and wide.

Owner Abe Alhakim states the name “Sarai” was inspired by an inn where travellers could rest and recover from the day’s journey.

Alhakim’s main focus was integrating a variety of tastes in one restaurant; the menu fluctuates from traditional Lebanese cuisine, to dishes such as grilled Prawn and their very own Sarai Stuffed Chicken.

For their starter menu, they have appetizers differing from hot and cold, like the Cheese Sambusik and Fried Kibbi.

A few of their main dishes from the grill are the Prawn Provencal (sautéed Black Tiger prawns), as well as mixed skewers of Shish Tawook (Chicken breast), Tenderloin Kebab and Persian Kebab. To complete, there is Sarai’s very own Stuffed Chicken that includes eggplant, tomato and cheese.

The interior consists of art pieces from various Middle Eastern countries, as well as an upper loft-like lounge complete with bar and seating dedicated for private parties and dining that can hold up to 40 people.

You can visit this Sarai Restaurant & Lounge on Walker Road, next to the Lighting Boutique in the Ferrari Plaza.
