Windsor Potterfest
A magical and nostalgic experience will add up to great fun and precious memories. A celebration of J.K Rowling’s iconic seven-book series Harry Potter (and the blockbuster films that followed) will be on full display at Windsor PotterFest, a family-friendly and affordable event for all ages, especially for preteens and teens. Considerably more than interesting and stimulating visual displays, PotterFest offers live performances, Interactive activities, themed arts and crafts, hat photos, a live auction and projected wall-sized photos. Themed ‘Harry Potter’ snacks will be available. The fun begins at 5 pm and ends at 9 pm. Film Camp for Kids and Youth is located at 664 Victoria Avenue, Windsor, the former location for the Downtown Mission and previously Temple Baptist Church. This is the fourth and final home for the 12-year old film camp program. Special book readings by Revolution Theatre begin at 7 pm until 8:30 pm. Tickets are $20 per person, $5 for 5 years and under, available at Facebook.com/filmcampfor kids. A large, attended parking lot on the 600 block of Pelissier has been reserved for Potterfest, which is adjacent to the building for easy access and provides plenty of parking spaces for guests.
