Move Him into the Sun, Windsor Classic Chorale
The Windsor Classic Chorale has a tradition of presenting a concert every November to honour those who gave their lives during the First and Second World Wars so that we might live in freedom today. This year, the WCC is proud to present a program commemorating the sacrifices made and the lives lost. Founded in 1977 by Director Emeritus Richard Householder, the Windsor Classic Chorale has become a core component of the local arts community by presenting its annual concert season and singing at a variety of other events throughout the Windsor area. The WCC considers it a privilege to perform in this community and enjoys collaborating with other organizations including the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Chamber Choir, the Windsor-Essex Youth Choir, Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts, as well as various solo artists. The WCC has performed in a wide range of venues including Heritage Auditorium at the University of Windsor, All Saints’ Church, and on Pelee Island at the Stone & Sky Music & Art Series. We are eager to connect with our community in new and interesting ways. We have sung at the Bright Lights festival, the Windsor Yacht Club, the Mayor’s Walk, the City of Windsor’s Cultural Days, Cemetery Sunday, and the University of Windsor’s Chancellor installation. We also love to do caroling during the Christmas season, so if you would like a group to come to your house or business, please contact us. If you would like to suggest a way in which we can connect with you or your organization, we would love to hear from you. There will be a reception immediately following the concert.
