Police Seeking Further Surveillance Footage Of Suspect Vehicle In Fatal Hit And Run

Windsor Police continue to look for the vehicle and driver wanted in a fatal hit and run of a young child and are looking for assistance from the community for additional surveillance footage and any information.

The vehicle police are looking for is has a distinct black decal visible on the passenger side, painted running boards, a front black tinted bug deflector and a black roof rack.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle may have been driving in the 1600 block of Balfour Boulevard on Sunday, November 15th, 2020, at approximately 8:55pm. Detectives are asking residents and businesses in that area to check surveillance footage for the suspect vehicle. Anyone with dashcam footage who may have been driving anywhere in the area around this date/time is requested to review footage.

The requested geographical area to review is, but is not limited to, the area bound by Lauzon Road/Parkway to the east, Drouillard Road to the west, Riverside Drive East to the north and Tecumseh Road East to the south.

They ask that you review footage from at least the hours of 8pm and 9pm Sunday.

Investigators are also asking any mechanics or body shops, vehicle parts stores and drive-thru or self-serve car washes to please review video footage from the time of the original incident on Sunday, November 15th, at approximately 8:45 pm until present.

“We understand this is days worth of video we are requesting the community to review. The family deserves answers,” police said in a news release. “The retention of surveillance footage is often time-sensitive; as such, we are requesting the community take immediate action in reviewing any footage if possible.”
