New Photos Released Of Vehicle Wanted In Fatal Hit And Run

Windsor Police have released new photos of a vehicle wanted after a young child was struck and killed earlier this week.

It happened around 8:45pm on Sunday, November 15th, 2020, in the area of Jefferson Boulevard at Haig Avenue.

The child was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but the child succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Investigators have obtained additional surveillance photos of the involved suspect vehicle.

The images depict the suspect vehicle at 8:49pm on Sunday, November 15th, 2020, travelling northbound on Jos St. Louis Avenue at Tecumseh Road East.

The vehicle has a distinct black decal visible on the passenger side, painted running boards, a front black tinted bug deflector and a black roof rack.

Investigators are requesting local businesses and residents review any surveillance video footage for images of the suspect vehicle.
Investigators are focusing on the geographical area bound by Jefferson Boulevard to the east, Pillette Road to the west, South National Street to the north and Tecumseh Road to the south between the hours of 8:40pm and 9pm of Sunday, November 15th, 2020.

Windsor Police urges the involved driver to contact the police. The grieving family and our community deserve to know how and why this incident occurred.
