Four Arrested, 500 Cannabis Plants Seized In Leamington

Leamington OPP have arrested four people and have seized around 500 cannabis plants and processed cannabis following a drug investigation.

Police, including the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team and the Essex County Canine Unit executed Cannabis Act search warrants at two locations in Leamington, last Tuesday.

Police say the warrants resulted in the seizure of “approximately 500 cannabis plants” and a “quantity of processed cannabis”.

Warrants were executed in the 500 block of Mersea Road 3 and the 1500 block of Mersea Road 6.

Police say Daniel Tiessen, 52-years-old Of Leamington, Deon Campbell, 42-years-old Of Leamington, Yuli Cardenas-Bartolon, 37-years-old Of Leamington, and Olga Larios-mendoza, 47-years-old Of Leamington, are each charged with the offence of Cultivate, Propagate or Harvest any Cannabis Plant at a Place that is not their Dwelling House.

The accused are scheduled to appear in court on November 19th, 2020.
