Police Looking For Owner Of Recovered Tires

Windsor Police have recovered a number of tires during an investigation and are looking for the owner.

Police say that on Monday July 27th, 2020 they responded to a complaint of suspicious activity in the area of Baseline Road at 7th Concession.

During the course of the investigation officers located a stolen trailer. The trailer was ultimately returned to the owner. Inside the trailer officers located 16 brand new tires valued at approximately $4,000.

Investigators believe the recovered tires were stolen, but have yet to identify the rightful owner.

Police say it is possible that the tires were taken from a business or storage area, and the rightful owner has yet to discover the theft.

Business owners are encourage to check their inventories and storage facilities.
