Gun Pointed During Road Rage Incident

One person has been charged after a road rage incident in Windsor.

Police say around 3:30pm on Thursday, June 25th, 2020 they responded to a report of a person with a gun driving a black Chrysler 300 in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Clemenceau Boulevard.

An officer quickly located the vehicle in the 6000 block of Tecumseh Road East, where the lone male driver of the vehicle was arrested at gunpoint.

A search by police found an imitation firearm (airsoft handgun).

The incident was reported to have begun as a road rage incident in the area of Tecumseh Road East near Pillette Road. A driver and occupant of a vehicle reported that during the incident, the suspect pointed a firearm at them. A licence plate and vehicle description was obtained and police were promptly called.

An 18 year old male from Windsor is charged with use imitation firearm during an offence, possess imitation weapon dangerous to public peace amd two counts of death threat by gesture.
