Police Make Quick Arrest Of Robbery Suspect

Windsor Police have made a quick arrest of a robbery suspect.

Police say around 8:15am on Monday September 30th, 2019, they were called to the 900 block of Wyandotte Street East for a robbery.

They say that an adult male was assaulted and had his cell phone taken by the male suspect. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the assault.

The suspect fled on foot prior to officers arrival. Through investigation, officers were able to obtain video surveillance and quickly identify the suspect.

At approximately 12:30pm, officers located the suspect in the 600 block of Aylmer Avenue where he was arrested without incident. Officers were also able to recover the stolen cell phone and return it to the victim.

Marc Gerard, a 24-year-old male from Windsor, is charged with robbery.
