Two Arrested After Assault

Two people have been charged after an assault near downtown Windsor.

Police say that around 5:30am on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 they were called to the area of Glengarry Avenue and Riverside Drive East where EMS were treating a victim who appeared to have serious injuries.

During the investigation it was learned the victim had been assaulted with weapons by multiple suspects while inside a residence in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue.

Ad a result, the victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.

At approximately 12pm, two suspects were located and arrested without incident in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue.

Officers applied for and were granted judicial authorization to search a residence involved in the investigation.

During a search of the residence, several items were seized including a bat, a machete, a sledge-hammer and two pipes.

Brandon Belcher, a 29-year-old male from Windsor is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of assault with a weapon.

Joshua Drouillard, a 23-year-old male of Windsor is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
