The suspect vehicle fled towards Howard Avenue and Eugenie Street East where traffic was congested due to an unrelated accident.

Officers attempted to arrest the male driver who refused to exit the vehicle. Officers saw that the driver was in possession of suspected illicit drugs while also attempting to conceal and destroy them.
In an attempt to gain control of the driver, officers broke the window, at which time the driver continued resisting officers while also moving the vehicle forward. The vehicle was placed in park at which time officers utilized a taser on the driver. This allowed officers to remove the driver from the vehicle at which time the driver continued resisting officers attempts to arrest him.
Officers were subsequently able to secure the driver in handcuffs and place him under arrest.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers located stolen licence plates as well 0.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 0.8 grams of suspected heroin.
