Driver Charged After 401 Crash

A truck driver is facing charges after hos truck hit a cement barrier on the 401.
OPP say that around 4:15am on November 7th, 2018, the driver of an eastbound tractor-trailer collided with the cement barrier while entering into the construction zone Highway 401 near Scane Road.
The vehicle suffered extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported.
The driver Allan Howgate, 59-years-old from Sandfield Township was charged with careless driving.
