Windsor Police have two suspects in custody after an early morning robbery.
Police say that around 1:15 am a 41-year-old female was robbed at gunpoint while at a drive-thru bank machine in the 2400 block of Dougall Avenue.
She stated that two unknown males approached her vehicle while she was attempting to make a transaction. One of the suspects brandished a handgun.
A witness was driving in the area and observed the commotion, and he drove toward the vehicle and observed 3 to 4 males, wearing dark clothing and ski masks, running eastbound across Dougall Avenue.
The witness spoke to the victim, learned of the incident and followed the suspects. He pointed out the last direction of travel to responding patrol officers.
The Canine Unit arrived and began a track for the suspects, and two suspects were located near a building in the 2400 block of McDougall Avenue. They were both placed under arrest without further incident.
There were no reported injuries or money obtained by the suspects.
Officers continue to investigate the involvement of additional suspects and the outstanding firearm.
Abdulwahab Taher, a 19-year-old male from Windsor, is charged with Robbery with a firearm and have face mask/disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Anthony Kan-Elliott, a 19-year-old male from Lasalle, is charged with Robbery with a firearm and have face mask/disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
