A Windsor man has been arrested after allegedly stealing an SUV and crashing it on EC Row.
On Tuesday, around 6pm, Windsor Police were dispatched to a parking lot in the area of the 900 block of Ouellette for a robbery.
Officers spoke to a 58 year old male who stated that he was approached by an unknown male as he exited his vehicle. The male suspect allegedly assaulted the victim and took the keys for the vehicle and drove off.
At approximately 7pm, officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Banwell and EC Row Expressway. Upon arrival officers observed the stolen motor vehicle in the ditch area and the driver was being tended to by paramedics. The driver matched the description of the suspect in the robbery and was subsequently placed under arrest without incident.
Ken Reaume, a 50 year old male from Windsor, is charged with robbery and possession of stolen property.
