Windsor Police are investigating after a local woman was assaulted at a Wyandotte Street bar.

Police were called Sunday around 10:45pm to Lions Head in the 7800 block of Wyandotte Street East where they learned that the 23 year old female had been assaulted by an unknown male.

Officers searched the area but didn’t locate the suspect. She told police that she was involved in an argument with an unknown male just outside the establishment which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation where punches were exchanged. She stated after the initial confrontation the male suspect continued assaulting her and pulled her across the patio by her hair. The victim sustained bruising to the face and abrasions on her legs.

Her photo has been circulating on social media since Sunday.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’8, approximately 40 years old, regular build, short dark hair, wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans.
