Woman Charged After Arson

Windsor Police have charged a woman after an arson Tuesday evening.

Police say it happened around 6:30pm at an building located in the 2600 block of Meadowbrook Lane.

When police and fire crews arrived a small fire had already been extinguished by the complainant but the apartment was filled with smoke.

Investigation revealed that the complainant was allegedly involved in an argument with a 47-year-old female. She allegedly set items on fire in another room without his knowledge.

The argument continued and she subsequently left.

Police went to the woman’s residence and placed her under arrest without incident. She is charged with arson disregard for human life and arson causing damage to property. She was released on a Promise to appear with a future court date.

Damage is estimated at approximately $1,000.00 and there were no injuries.
