Windsor firefighters have put out a house fire in the 500 block of Church Street.

Crews were called around 10:40pm and found smoke and fire coming from the second floor.

Firefighters had to rescue one person from a third floor window.

Two people were sent to hospital. One was treated and released and a second was transferred to London for burns.  He has since been released.

Police say that thought an investigation they were able to identify the persons responsible for the fire.  Two males were arrested later in the 300 block of Church Street.  One of the male’s was in possession of four lighters.
Emmanuel Stamatakis, a 44 year old male from Windsor is charged with arson disregard for human life, arson cause bodily harm, arson cause property damage and possess incendiary material for arson.
Dean Stamatakis-Rockwood, a 18 year old male from Windsor was charged with arson disregard for human life, arson cause bodily harm, and arson cause property damage.
