ATV And Snow Machine Crash Sends Lakeshore Man To Hospital With Serious Injuries

A 28-year-old Lakeshore man was seriously injured after a crash involving a ATV and a snow machine.

OPP say that the accident happened around 11pm Saturday night.

Three snow machines were traveling westbound and two ATV’s were traveling eastbound on Lake St Clair approximately 400 meters west of Surf Club drive and 100 meters offshore. As the vehicles approached each other, all but two vehicles passed safely, with the two involved vehicles striking each other head on.

The driver of the snow machine was transported to hospital.

The driver of the ATV, a 21-year-old Lakeshore old man was not injured and was arrested at the scene and will be charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

The 21-year-old passenger on the ATV was not injured.

The investigation is continuing.
