Windsor Police have seized a shotgun and arrested a man after a standoff on Campbell Avenue, Tuesday evening.

Police were called around 7pm to investigate possible weapons at a home and receiving a report from a caller.

The West Windsor street was closed from Grove to Laing. Adanac and McEwan Streets were also closed while police investigated.

Tactical officers from the Emergency Services Unit could be seen down the block wearing full gear.

Officers were heard using a speaker to talk to a man inside a home.

Police say numerous attempts were made to establish contact with the man, but around 9pm, police entered the residence and arrested the man.

Police located and seized a 12 gauge pump action shot gun and 14 shot gun shells of ammunition that were improperly stored.

Police say the incident is still under investigation.
