St. Joachim Man Facing Drunk Driving Charges

A St. Joachim man was arrested and faces impaired driving charges.
On May 6th, just after midnight, Chatham-Kent OPP received a complaint of a Ford SUV driving erratically on Highway 401 westbound near Bloomfield Road.
Chatham-Kent OPP officers located and stopped the vehicle. While officers were speaking with the driver, 30-year-old Christopher Dunn, from St. Joachim, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
Subsequent tests indicated that the driver was over the legal limit.
Dunn was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired, driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in blood and driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.
Chatham-Kent OPP remind drivers that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. If you consume alcoholic beverages, plan for a safe ride home by using a designated driver, a taxi or public transit to ensure that you and others sharing the road arrive safely.
