Driver Goes Around Police Cruiser, Rolls Into Ditch, Traps Himself: Police Say He Was Drunk

A man trying to steer around OPP cruisers who had the road blocked from an earlier crash, caused a crash himself when he put his truck into a ditch.
Police say he was drunk.
The incident happened at 7pm on Saturday on County Road 35 in Comber.
OPP officers observed a Ford pickup truck attempt to negotiate around the parked cruisers that were blocking one lane of traffic due to an earlier crash.
The pickup then continued onto the shoulder of the road and rolled his vehicle into a ditch causing the truck to be partially submerged in the water-filled ditch.
EMS rescued the man who became trapped in his truck.
Police say he exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.
Allan Nussey, age 53 of Lakeshore was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content.
He will appear in a Windsor court on January 8th.
