Man Breaks Beer Bottle Over Bouncer’s Head, Arrested

Windsor Police have arrested a man who caused a scene at a downtown night club.
On Sunday December 9th around 2am, a 21 year old male reportedly entered a washroom of a downtown night club located in the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue. Inside the washroom a 19 year old suspect offered to sell marijuana to the male. The male refused, but the suspect was persistent and put his arm around the male asking him again about buying from him.
The male brushed the suspects arm from around him. The suspect suddenly punched the male directly in the face causing the male to fall onto the floor. The assault was witnessed by an employee of the night club.
The employee took control of the suspect in an attempt to remove him from the club. The suspect grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it over the head of the employee. The suspect broke free and fled the night club on foot. Employees gave chase to the male. He was chased to the corner of Ouellette Avenue and University Avenue. Windsor Police were standing on the corner and observed the suspect to have blood on his shirt and hands. Officers approached the suspect to speak with him. Club employees and the two victims of the assault attended and spoke with police. The suspect was placed under arrest. Police requested ambulance attend to care for the two victims and the suspect. All three were transported to hospital for treatment.
The initial victim sustained a broken nose. The second victim required several stitches to close a gash on his head. The suspect required several stitches to close a cut on the palm of his right hand.
Nicholas McCullough, 19 years old of Windsor is charged with Assault With A Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Failing To Comply With a Condition of Judicial Release.
