Late Friday evening and into the early morning hours of Saturday, the Windsor Police Traffic Unit conducted a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Program in several locations throughout the City of Windsor.

As a result, 319 vehicles were stopped, four 3 Day Suspensions were issued and 56 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. No charges of Impaired Driving were laid.

This year to date, a total of 5119 vehicles have been stopped, seventy three 3 Day Suspensions have been issued, 6 charges of Impaired Driving have been laid and 653 charges have been issued under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
