A Essex woman has been charged after a cyclist was struck in the town on Tuesday.

OPP say that a 53-year-old cyclist from Quebec was crossing Talbot Road and Maidstone Avenue on her bicycle, when she was struck around 12:30pm.

The cyclist was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Patricia Lenardon, age 73 of Essex, Ontario has been charged with careless driving.
