A motorcycle crash on the E.C. Row Expressway Tuesday evening has resulted in an impaired driving charge.

Police say the accident happened just before 6pm near Howard and involved a motorcycle.

Upon arrival officers observed a group of people surrounding a male who was riding a motorcycle and had sustained serious injuries. Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported the male to hospital.

Investigation revealed that the 41 year old male driver was allegedly driving the motorcycle erratically while passing vehicles and the motorcycle collided into the rear end of a van.

The male remains in hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries. He’s charged with impaired driving.
