On Saturday June 6th, Windsor Police were dispatched to a commercial business located in the plaza in the 300 block of Tecumseh Road East for an insecure premise. Officers arrived and observed the front door smashed out and safe had been rummaged through. Forensic Identification Officers were able to recover a fingerprint from the scene along with DNA evidence from blood found at the scene.

Officers from the Target Base Unit reviewed video surveillance of the incident and observed that the suspect matched the description of a male suspect from another commercial break and enter that occurred on Monday June 1st at a restaurant in the 1000 block of Tecumseh Road East. In this incident the suspect also smashed the glass at the front entrance and stole a quantity of alcohol and a donation box. After receiving information officers were able to identify a suspect. The fingerprint recovered from the incident at the business in the plaza matched the suspect who had been identified in the break and enter at the restaurant.

Officers from the Target Base Unit located the male suspect and placed him under arrest for both break and enters.

Kevin Charron, a 29 year old male from Windsor is charged with 2 counts of break and enter and 2 counts of breach of recognizance.
