Windsor Police have a man in custody and have seized a handgun after he allegedly pointed it at another driver during a road rage incident on EC Row.
Police were called Tuesday afternoon and a victim told them he was travelling west on EC Row near Central Avenue when he pulled into the passing lane to pass a truck that was in front of him.
The victim said a red Dodge Caravan was suddenly right up on his back bumper. The victim told police he made a hand gesture to the driver of the Caravan in an attempt to get him to back off.
After passing the truck, the driver of the Caravan allegedly pulled up alongside him in the right hand lane.
The victim looked over and saw that the driver of the Caravan had allegedly rolled his window down and was allegedly holding a handgun, pointing it at the victim.
The Caravan then reportedly sped off and exited EC Row and was last seen South on Dougall Avenue.
Police located the vehicle parked in a parking lot of a store in the 3100 block of Dougall Avenue. Officers entered the store and arrested the suspect.
Police say that after a search of the Caravan at Police Headquarters, officers located a Colt Defender b.b. pistol.
Nathan Bastien, 25, was charged with pointing a firearm and having a dangerous weapon.
