The 700 block of Randolph Avenue as seen in Google Maps

Police are looking for a suspect after a middle of the night B&E near the University.

Officers were called around 4am Thursday to the 700 block of Randolph. Police say a suspect stole several laptop computers after breaking into the home.

Investigators say a victim and two roommates were sleeping at the time of the break in.

The victim was woken by a flashlight. Police say the woman initially she thought the suspect may have been her roommate but when the suspect noticed that the victim was awake, he ordered her not to move.

Police say he removed a laptop computer from her room while shining the flashlight in her face. The suspect then left the home through the front door.

The victim woke her other 2 roommates and called police.

Three laptops and a small amount of cash were taken.

The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old man, 6′ tall, 200lbs with a medium, muscular build. He was wearing all black clothing, a black hooded sweatshirt with a hood over his head and a bandana over half of his face.
