Windsor Police have arrested a man who had a lot of chocolate bars in his possession following an alleged break and enter on Elliott Street.

Police were called to the 100 block of Elliott West around 12:15am and found a suspect being held by the property owner.

Police allege the suspect broke into the building and was in the laundry room area when he was confronted by the property owner. A struggle ensued, during which the property owner was allegedly assaulted.

Upon arrest, police say the suspect was found to be in possession of a large quantity of chocolate bars. It’s not known why the man was carrying so many chocolate bars.

A 28 year old male faces charges of break and enter, possession of break-in instruments, mischief under $5000, possession of instrument to break into coin device, and assault with a weapon.
