A friendly bet on who would win the Super Bowl lead to a stabbing Sunday evening.

Police say that they were called to a home in the 500 block of Church Street, where they spoke with the 65-year-old victim and another witness.

They say that the accused had picked Denver to win and the victim Seattle. He became very upset and grabbed a knife and lunged at the victim stabbing him in the right palm. The accused then left the residence.

The victim was transported to hospital for a minor stab wound that required stitches to close.

A warrant is being sought for the arrest of a 62-year-old man with no fixed address.
