A man is recovering after he was severely beaten at a house on Drouillard Road.

Police say they were made aware of the assault on Tuesday afternoon when the victim, a 30-year-old man, was rushed by EMS to Windsor Regional’s Ouellette campus. The man had serious injuries to his head and face including several lacerations and swelling, and swelling to his left knee.

The victim told police he was at a residence in the 1200 block of Drouillard Road, seated on a couch, when police say a male who is known to him, and 4 additional males exited a bedroom and proceeded to beat him.

The victim told police that two of the males hit him repeatedly with pipes, striking him in the head and knees several times.

Police say the victim eventually got out of the residence and was walking down Drouillard Road when an unknown construction worker picked him up and took him back home. A friend of the victim later found him at home and called 911.

Officers located and arrested a suspect at a motel in the 2400 block of Division Road and overnight, searched a residence on Drouillard Road, recovering evidence.

A 31-year-old Windsor man is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of marijuana.

Police are seeking four other suspects.
