3300 block of Maisonneuve as seen on Google

A 42-year-old woman was arrested last night for breaking into cars in South Windsor.

Police say that just after 4am, two residents were outside of their the garage in the 3300 block of Maisonneuve. When heading into their house, one of the residents noticed his car’s interior light, on and the door slightly ajar. As it was snowing heavily, he saw fresh foot prints in the snow and started to follow them.

The tracks led him to his neighbor’s house where he spotted a person climb inside a SUV parked in the driveway. The suspect exited the SUV and started to run away.  The resident caught up to the female suspect.

The woman kept trying to have the resident let her go saying she was addicted to drugs and needed a fix. The home owner took her to his garage and called police.  Police searched the woman and found quite a bit of property belonging to the resident.

The woman, of no fixed address, was arrested and is facing charges of theft and possession of stolen property.
