On Sunday, March 13, 2016 local musicians will lend their talents to help raise money to send orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania to school. This is the 3rd Annual Tunes for Tanzania event in support of the Tanzania Chapter of the Canadian World Education Foundation. The program will feature performances by Faith Scholfield and Amy Ley from the WSO, Dr. Philip Adamson University of Windsor Music faculty, Slide Wells(Mike Stone Trombone Quartet), Trevor Pittman, Erin Armstrong, and the jazz stylings of Lisette Gagnon and Tyler Sasso. The concert will be followed by a Taste of Tanzania reception.

Last year’s concert was a tremendous success with enough money being raised to send a 13 year old girl to secondary school enabling her to escape the fate of becoming a house-girl or young bride. We hope the Windsor community will once again help us empower children through education.

Tunes for Tanzania will be an exceptional afternoon of music that will raise spirits and money for educational projects in Tanzania.

Tickets are available at the door for: $20 (General) / $10 (Student) or through Eventbrite. Donations are also welcomed through Eventbrite.
