Homicide On McEwan Avenue

An investigation into an aggravated assault has now turned into a homicide investigation.

On Tuesday, May 18th, 2021, around 8:00 pm, police were called to the 500 block of McEwan Avenue for a report of an assault with a weapon.

Officers arrived and located an adult male with life-threatening injuries who was transported to the hospital.

It was reported that the suspects assaulted the male and fled the area before police arrival in a black Mitsubishi SUV that was later located by police and seized as evidence.

The victim, a 30-year-old male from Toronto, later succumbed to his injuries.

Through investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested. Prince Charles, a 25-year-old male from Windsor, is charged with murder.

Police are seeking any information that may help identify a second suspect wanted in relation to the homicide. The suspect had a handgun and knife during the incident and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The suspect is described as male, black, 25 – 35 years old, short curly black hair, approximately 5’8″ and 150 pounds.
