The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility at mass-vaccination sites for the general population aged 55 and older.

They say adults aged 55 years and older in 2021, born in 1966 or earlier, will be able to register to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at one of the vaccination sites to receive a first dose at a mass-vaccination site:

  • The Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU) Centre in Windsor
  • The Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre (NFFRC) in Leamington
  • The St. Clair College SportsPlex in Windsor
  • 1407 Moy Clinic
  • Windsor Hall (former Windsor Star building)
  • Libro Credit Union Centre in Amherstburg

Previously adults aged 55 to 59, not in other priority groups, were only able to book an appointment if they lived in one of the area’s hot spot postal codes, or through a pharmacy (AstraZeneca).

The Health Unit says vaccinations at all of the clinics are by appointment only and walk-ins are not permitted.
