They City of Windsor reports they are now finished clearing all residential areas following Monday’s snowfall. If you see a road or intersection that needs attention, you are asked to call 311.

City crews are expressing thanks to those residents who were able to move their vehicles into the municipal parking lots. Please be aware that the free parking in municipal lots ends today and paid parking resumes on Friday.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services asks residents to help them help you by keeping fire hydrants clear of snow. In the event of a fire, it will be faster for fire crews to gain access to the hydrant if needed. Residents are also reminded to keep all home exhaust vents clear of ice and snow to ensure proper home ventilation.

Environment Canada is forecasting more snow for today, but amounts are not expected to exceed five centimetres. Crews will salt major routes once the snow begins and resume plowing if necessary. Drivers are also reminded to be patient when travelling behind a plow and to give operators plenty of room, as following too close to a snowplow can lead to poor visibility.
