Downtown Vehicle Stop Leads To Seizure Of Drugs And Stolen Property

Windsor Police have charged two people after a traffic stop in Downtown Windsor.

Police sat around 5:45 pm on Friday, January 8th, 2021; a patrol officer conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Mercer Avenue and Tuscarora Street.

Officers discovered that a license plate attached to the vehicle had been reported stolen. The male driver and female passenger were both arrested without incident.

Officers also located and seized several illicit drugs, a quantity of Canadian currency, and a prohibited weapon. Also found in the vehicle was another license plate that had been stolen.

Patrick Bolton, a 36-year-old male from Windsor, is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5000 – license plates, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, and fail to comply with release order.

Brandi Bishop, a 36-year-old female from Windsor, is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5000 – license plates, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, possess prohibited weapon – knife, two counts of breach of prohibition and breach of probation.
