Windsor Police have charged an adult male following an investigation involving the digital sharing of an intimate image without consent.

Police say that in mid-August of 2020 they launched an investigation after receiving information that an intimate picture of an adult female had been posted online without her consent.

Officers were able to determine that the photo had been taken roughly 20 years prior while the female had been in a relationship with an adult male. Although the photo had been taken with consent many years ago, the female never gave consent for the photo to be shared.

On Thursday, September 24, 2020, the suspect from Windsor was arrested without incident.

The male is facing a charge of distribute intimate image without consent.

The charged male is not being identified in effort to protect the identity of the victim.
