Three People Arrested After McGregor Shooting

OPP have arrested three people in connection with a shooting incident in September in McGregor.

On September 10th, 2019, at approximately 12:30pm, police were called to the report of an injured man in a parking lot in the 9500 block of Essex County Road 11 (Walker Road).

The victim was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of a gunshot wound.

On November 6th, 2019, 44-year-old Kalakech Ammar of Lakeshore was arrested and is charged with robbery using a firearm. possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, possession of a schedule 1 substance – cocaine, and public mischief.

The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice Windsor.

On November 12th, 2019, two more individuals were arrested.

Ali Kamal Zeidan, 35-years-old, of Windsor, remains in custody pending a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice Windsor, and charged with discharge firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner, robbery using a firearm, point firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent to commit indictable offence, public mischief and fail to comply with recognizance.

Hamzah Moses Abusoufah, 30-years old, of Windsor, has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Windsor on December 10th, 2019 charged with robbery using a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and public mischief.
