Windsor Man Arrested After Stolen Truck Burns

A Windsor man is facing several charges after a stolen vehicle burned.

OPP say that around 8:45am on September 24th, 2019 Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police were contacted regarding a theft from a local business at the intersection of Oil Heritage Road and London Line in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming.

The Lambton OPP observed the suspect vehicle and upon further investigation, it was revealed the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that morning.

The vehicle was observed travelling westbound through a bean field.

Officers then came across a large fire in the field and located the stolen vehicle in the ditch. The suspect had fled the scene on foot.

The suspect was located by K9 and taken into custody.

Timothy Yetman, 31 years-old of Windsor, was arrested and has been charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, dangerous operation, theft under $5,000 and obstruct peace officer.
