Brakes Put On Ouellette Car Cruise

The Ouellette Car Cruise has been cancelled for 2019.
The event, which has been organized by the Downtown Windsor BIA for the past few years, was becoming very expensive to run without a title sponsor, according to BIA Board Chair Brian Yeomans.
“In the past, the BIA had one [title sponsor], last time the Car Cruise ran, however, the sponsorship wasn’t there, so the BIA has to fund the event almost outright,” Yeomans said.
He said that the BIA had reached out to several possible organizations but were unable to secure a new sponsor.
“That is why at this time we have decided to shelf the event,” he said.
The BIA has other events planned this summer including the Canada Day Parade on July 1st.
